Was looking around for a source of Alox (DownUnder) and surfing led me to the world of car rust proofing agents. Apparently Lee Liquid Alox is just a repackaged version of an Alox brand of car rustproofing.

Couldn't get it in bulk but came across Valvoline Tectyl 506, to date only in a spray can but 4 litre cans are available on order.

Just sprayed a bit, looks and smells like Lee Liquid Alox.

Can't tell much from MSDS, both just say heavy naptha waxes or proprietary (ie we aren't going to tell you).

Anyone used this as a bullet lube alternative yet.

I haven't tried that one. I have been using a similar product from the Eastwood Company of Pottstown Pennsylvania. It is their "Heavy Duty Anti-Rust" product. Part # 16017ZP. Thin it slightly with mineral spirits to use as a tumble lube. Set the bullets out for the solvnt to evaporate...load. Simple, although a bit "messy". Excellent for larger volume needs .

Not familiar with that one. Problem is availabilty in Australia. Can't get liquids shipped here either especially if they contain flammable solvent bases.
Have to make do with what is available locally or pay exorbitant prices on small bottles of the Lee product.
Surprisingly the Valvoline spray can stated that it was Made in Australia even though Valvoline sells the product worldwide.

At this stage I'm assuming that all the companies buy the same or similar base material in bulk and repackage it for different consumers.
