Got out some to shooten today-- beautiful here at 62 degrees and sunny. Gusting wind though from 5 o'clock up to 20 mph. Anyways one of the guys was having a minor problem of sorts zeroing his new Mod 70 Win in 06. So we got it dialed in in short order and turned to discussing our guns. He took a few at 100 for another looksee and complained mildly of the recoil nailing his shoulder bone. So I got him sat down at my bench looking out of my scope at the 600 yd backstop. He could see my high impact in the pit which I consequently used as an aimpt for the next three rds-- all making nice, fresh divots in the dark sand. I slide one in the chamber and he let it fly-- going somewhat high and left of my impact. Wind was gusting but he moved at letoff which he stated. He clicked my much lighter trigger than his gun a few times for feel and we chambered another. This one settled right into the deepening divot made with my first three. His next and yet another found the same hole, wind and all. "So what's the name of this bullet" my new friend sez? The 329 I said. "Man that was fun.. and no recoil to speak of" Yeup I replied. "Where can I get one of those?" Right here I said. | ||
