slugging cylinder ????

Just a quick question on slugging a cylinder. I am getting a slugging kit with different soft lead bullets that come in a variety of sizes for the 44 cal. Well everyone says that you should slug your cylinder but my question is what end of the cylinder do you start at?

I mean do you start on the side of the cylinder where you load your ammo into or do you start at the side of where the bullet comes out of? Or does it matter at all?

Thanks.

I just didn't know for sure when people say the throat on the cylinder is where to do it at.

I couldn't wait any longer to find out so had to embarrase myself with this question.

Put it in the loading end and tap it through, it should size down gently to give a measurement of the throats. You could also pickup a box of lead round balls to try, it might be cheaper.
If you are going to hone the throats out, then be sure to put a fired case in the chamber first to protect it.
