Just thought I'd share my experience with the Lasercast pb bullet in my .375. The bullets are made for the 38-55 Winchester, but I ordered a batch sized to .377 (no extra cost, either). I am using WW brass, CCI large rifle primers, and 15-17 grains of Green Dot. No filler. I bell the cases with a .357 mag flaring die by hand with a mallet, and apply a mild crimp. All of these shoot a clover leaf group at 50 yards off my knees with a sling, recoil is very mild. The 17 grain load does lead a bit, but only after 40 rounds or so...according to the Lyman manual it's probably around 1700 fps. I can hit 12" rocks all day up to 300 yards, but it takes the slugs a while to get there ! The rifle is a custom built on a 700 remington with 26" bbl. Sure beats expensive jacketed bullets and recoil ! Ben Reinhardt

Ben,I also have been using Cast Bullets in my Rem.375 h&h Safari. Although I'm making Lyman 375449's out of Lino Type alloy with Hornady gas checks and LithiBee Lube. For Powder I've been using 22 grs. of alliant Blue Dot and get about 1,800 fps with little or no leading. These can be shot all day without recoil headache! Good Shootin , Steve from Joisey

quote:Thanks for the reply, Steve ! The Laser Cast bullets are very hard (harder than Linotype). I'd like to get them in a gas check design, but they don't sell them (the bullets use are designed for a 38-55 Winchester). I am gearing up to do some casting, but still have most of a box of Laser Cast left, so won't be doing anything for the .375 anytime soon. It is great to be able to shoot the beast all afternoon without the recoil. Good for working on trigger control. Ben Reinhardt Pocatello, ID
