I agree, at least with the part about the board being slower since the "upgrade".
However, one of the other (non-shooting) boards I frequent upgraded their software (also a UBB board) at the same time. The users there are also complaining about the speed. I don't have any kind of deep familiarization with the UBB software, but that other site has done upgrades in the past, and they all had some sort of problem, but they did get fixed over time, and pleasant reading resumed eventually. All in all, I'd suggest we give it some time and let Saeed tweak the load a little.
I could go on to decry feature creep and bloated code, and draw comparisons with Microsoft, but that wouldn't accomplish anything constructive.
I'm going to stick around for a while and see how things shake out before I go wandering through the cyberdesert again.

Yep, I agree. It seems one must login as soon as you go to the website. I have tried to login when I wanted to post a reply and it is no go. So I go back to the forum index and login and then I have to go back to the place that I wanted to post a replyvery, very, very annoying. Maybe Im just not familiar with the new format, but it doesnt seem as user friendly or as easy and fast to maneuver to me. And so it goes with new and improved!!!BCB

I have a dial up connection and I'm getting used to the new format. There are a lot of features like the jumping immediatly to the unread posts. some of the other sites where you read the latest posts they are in reverse order which really lose the thought of the thread. I don't seem to see much difference between this site and most of the other forums I go to, as far as speed. The fast sites usually have no traffic and few members. I guess I'm not into instant gratification. My 2 cents worth and and you get change back like MacDonalds, but no fries.

I haven't seen a speed problem either at home (56K) or work which is something really fast...... Maybe it's a time of day/amount of user thing..... Orygun

Slow....yup...replying here took forever, thought it was going to time-out for sure. Not trying to be ungrateful but some setting needs tweaking here. Kind of scared of bitching because losing AR would be another bad karma thing.
Am I the only one to notice that none of us are one of us anymore ? "jes' plain ole' joe's now <no offence Starmetal man > That was one detail I kinda grew familiar with also. Be nice to know if that was another budget minded move like cutting back the signature details that were available before but no longer. 45nut
Yeah, this site's loading and displaying slow as molasses. But at least here I can type full speed, not like Cast Boolits where I have to deliberately type S-L-O-W-L-Y so I don't outrun the glacially slow appearance of what I've typed, often having to redo the whole thing because it's skipped so much of what I typed when it couldn't keep up. (I'm no champion typist by a long shot, either!)
