grumbleJust got another status update from Lee on our little soup can mold. They have started production! Said I can expect to have the molds in-hand next week.
Y'all better get busy scrounging WWs. With the BD45 and this one, we're gonna run the tire shops out of weights!

I had best go looking for some wheel weights, bet I don't have more than 4-500 pounds of ingots and that ain't gonna go far with a "Six-Holer".
I can't wait to see how max sized (as cast or so) does in my 7.7X58.

Anybody out there got some good suggestions for lightening the trigger pull on that trusty old Japanese Type 99? No, not buying one of the new whiz bang triggers, I'm too . . . TOO cheap to do that!

Lar45I just picked up a Rossi combo youth gun in 308/ 20ga for the 5yo Son. I'm thinkin this bollit will be just the ticket for him. He likes shooting my 06 with 165's, but I think he'll do better if I cut the stock off to fit him on the rossi. I'll drill two holes for future alignment pins, then cut it off and add back in sections as he grows.

graycgLAR45,
I hear you, I just picked up a 16 inch stainless carbine barrel for my contender and fitted it with a 1.5x4.5 scope with a bantam stock for my daughter to shoot...it's a 30-30 so that she can grow with it. I'm also planning on starting her out with cast soupcan loads and them move her up to my 311041 full power loads as she progresses.
can't wait for the mould to arrive. Special thanks to Grumble for making this all happen. Maybe if this works out, we can come up with a group buy of Bator's 200 grain 358 bullet in a 6 cavity...
regards,
Graycg

This bullet sized to 0.309" in front of 9.1 gr. of Red Dot will hold minute of clay pigeon chip at 100 yards in my 7.7X58. These were cast in my two holer. Gonna try the next ones thru a 0.310 die and see if it will tighten up a tad and run it thru various 30 cal guns from the carbine up!

Lar45I think there were about 9 people who spoke up for the Bator 200 6 cav at Cast Boolits. I'd be up for one if there is enough interest.

krag35I'd grab one of those 358-200 Bator's in a 6 banger, in a hot minute. I really like the way my 358-250-Bator casts, I just don't have a "launching" platform YET.
