I have a chance to buy a Lyman six position turret press fairly cheap. What is everyone's opinion on this press?

I own two.
Great for pistol bullets. You can leave a lot of dies set up.
There is a little looseness (has to be SOME clearance to be able to turn the turret). But I haven't noticed any degredation in accuracy nor in measureable run out.

Joe --I have 2 of them also, great for pistol ammo and can be used for rifle. I loaded a 243 788 Remington with it years ago and with condom ammo it was under 1 moa all day every day, best group was .250" for 5. I mount a redding powder measure on the turret and have an auto primer feed for it. About 125 to 150 rounds per hour without really working at it. I added 2 handles ( actually 2 5/16x 18 bolts) ala the redding turret to turn the head. Simple, just drill into the turret , tap with a 5/16x18 tap and screw in the bolt. Nick

I had one sold it to my cousin wish I had kept it. If you can get it for a fair price grab it. Can't have enough presses either. [Big Grin] Swede44mag
