I have a 4 hole NEI mould for 38 BB wadcutter that just got back from NEI for a little repair. I have never used it much as I dispise bevel base bullets. My problem is cleaning the lube off the bevel. With a plain base, you can just wipe it accross a cloth and it is clean. Any suggestions other than get me a Star sizer?

Charger, first off, I got your target here, having arrived about a week ago. It appears everyone lost interest but I probably can get the targets up as pics tomorrow. Too tired now. Today was the best day in 6 months around here. About your lube problem. It's really no problem at all. Just use a filler to protect the powder from the lube. Just enough filler to barely touch the boolit base. Use grits, for example, but shoot within a day of boolit seating, just in case there is some moisture in the grits. Grits can and will pack sorta' hard over a 24 hour period when just slightly wet, packed or not. The boolit can be sloppy with lube with no bad effects. ... felix

........Charger, put a 38 GC in the lube die. Lyman is the best for this as it doesn't have the crimp ridge around the top. They can sometimes stick to the bullet. This'll keep the lube off the beveled area. Should you find the GC sticking too readily to the bullet base, here's a couple ideas. Put a card punchout circle in the GC. Usually it won't stick to a clean bullet base.

What I did was to put mould release on a bullet base and epoxy in a GC. Lubesize the bullet and let it set in the epoxy. When its about set up take the bullet out and let the epoxy finish up. It can now no longer stick to the bullet base. I did this for my Lyman 9mm-147gr FNBB bullet.
