I see that the new Handloader magazine has a review of the new Lee Hardness Tester. I bought one when I first saw it. The writer had a little more trouble adapting to it than I did. I did have a little bit of trouble (like he did) moving the magnifier opposite of what I thought it should be at first. You adapt quickly, though. His problem with poor lighting was not a problem with me. I already know I am half blind and always use a strong light when trying to read a precision instrument. Other than that, he got good results (like I did) One thing I did not see in the article was the fact that the Lee costs a little over 1/3 what the SAECO and LBT testers cost. There is really no reason not to have one now. | ||
