I'll be go to hell.
I had a pleasant and respectful exchange with Butler Ford on the GB forum this morning. I did make some very tame criticisms of some of the board policies. Nothing obscene, nor even harsh, just mildly critical.
My post has been deleted, and I am denied access to the board.
If anyone else is feeling put out with them, if you stop in to say hello, please inform the board there is a son of a bitch somewhere in thier midst, and they can kiss ol' Waksupi's rosey red ass.

It occurred to me this is GB's 'time of the month'. Maybe a fresh pak of tampkins would help....

I submitted the following to thier news mesage board. A message came up saying it would be reviewed, and posted if found worthwhile. What's your bet?

Apparently there was offense taken by the board owner or moderator at a post I made earlier today. It was not obscene, vulgar, or crude. I stated an opinion on some practices of the board of which I personally didn't approve.
I came back later, to find the post had been removed, and I am apparently barred from the board, as I'm not permitted to log in.
So, some very little person is obviously very easily offended.
No hard feelings.
Let me know when you have a free day. I'll get hold of a preacher, and if we can find out who your father is, and can get your mother out from under the porch, we'll marry them up, and make a big day of it.

Ric -
Good sense of humor, even if they don't have one.
But they have stated the rules on Veral's corner of the world - so what they do IS fair. Commercially motivated, limited to what they want and NOT the open dialog we enjoy here. Let us know when the 'big day' for them is!

Tim I disagree they laid the 'rooles' down in Viral's corner. Who has the time or inclination to read those 1500+ words? It all could have been said in a couple sentences and the average guy looking at his 'forum' doesn't make the distinction it is just an advertizing section. I still contend that space should be LABELED for what it is... purely an advertizing section where Viral's claims go UNQUESTIONED and UNCHALLENGED or CENSORED if the questions get too close to the facts. Granted I pushed it some there, but the point still was to draw attention to questions NOT answered and focus a looksee on the gray area's.

IMO opinion a forum is about everyone having a say so-- and let the merits of the content speak for themselves. Graybeard's 'forums' are not respected around the net... just a thinly disguised advertizing storefront.

One white tail buck, one buffalo, and inexcusibly missed an elk at close range.

They did post a sticky or notice at the top of his 'forum' about what it was for - in a sentence or two. (And I didn't read it either!)

Agree with you 100% - it should not be represented in the same format as the other forums.

Agree with you also on the commercial purpose of it. It would become much more popular with less control being taken.

Paul - come over to the Black Powder Mortar & Cannon forum on GBO - I can say that up to this point we haven't even thought of censoring ANY of the posts! You might be expected to talk about cannons or mortars, but we're flexible. I'll even extend the invitation to those here who feel that they've been flamed for being politically incorrect.

Ric you must be on that hi-protein diet. How much meat did the Buffalo yield?

I won't ask about the elk-- been there and done that but not with an elk.
