I bet if you mixed the Lee Liquid alox and bees wax you would have close to the same and probably cheaper!

I could see getting a 1gal bucket.
If Alox is just a Calcium soap grease, then do we need to use the Alox brand? Or just find a Calcium soap grease that comes in a more exerimentally friendly sized container?

I looked up some stuf on soap greases and it looks like Lithium based soap grease might be better for the wider operating range of temperatures. Not sure if it mixes well with Bee's wax or not.

Having gone through the process, I still have half a bucket of 2138F. I am willing to subdivide it.

Another thought comes to mind - ask for a sample. A friend of mine did this (built up an impressive (fake) company letterhead) and got a 55 gal. drum full of what he asked for free!
