How much is a 5gal bucket? Where do we get one from? Which # were you looking at? from the list below, this one looks interesting ALOX 606 Hard film, high melt point, calcium soap, long-term outdoor protection I could see getting a 1gal bucket. If Alox is just a Calcium soap grease, then do we need to use the Alox brand? Or just find a Calcium soap grease that comes in a more exerimentally friendly sized container? I looked up some stuf on soap greases and it looks like Lithium based soap grease might be better for the wider operating range of temperatures. Not sure if it mixes well with Bee's wax or not.

Having gone through the process, I still have half a bucket of 2138F. I am willing to subdivide it. Another thought comes to mind - ask for a sample. A friend of mine did this (built up an impressive (fake) company letterhead) and got a 55 gal. drum full of what he asked for free!
