Other than a little of Lee's liquid alox, I use Felix lube for everything. Regards, Woody

How does Felix work on rifle velocities round 2000 fps?

Isn't that a recipe floating around the net?

Where can I get it?

Thanks,

ML

I've only used Lee Alox and beeswax liquid, because I've never owned a lever type lube sizer until now. Problem is I'm waiting on some lube I ordered aways back, and want to lube up some bullets with my lyman 54.

I've got some Ox-yoke and wonder lube for my BP shooters. Has anyone here ever used this lube in rifle or pistol bullets? I was thinking of stuffing some in my lyman and going to work.

What is your favorite lubes in general?

For pistol, just about anything will work. Some beeswax softened with vasoline will even work.
For commercial types, Javelina is a standard, and will cover most pistol and rifle uses.
My favorite is FWFL, for all uses. You can find the formula on the aimoo board. Search the archives. I put in the Readers Digest condensed version some time back, to make it easier to mix.

I use Javalina for most everything.

The fastest I've shot any cast yet is the 470NE with 500's at 2150. I may need something different to try for 2400 or 2700fps.

I did get some Alox 350 awhile back and mixed with bee's wax. I have a bunch of 35 whelen loaded up, but haven't got to the range yet to see how it compares with Javalina and others.

For smokeless I will only use Felix. LBT Blue is good for high velocity in rifles. For BPCR I use a mix of beeswax, lanolin and Lube-Gard. For muzzle loaders I find Young country the best. Ballistol also works good.

For high velocity FWFL,I have shot 245gr cast BHN 24 to 2350 fps in a TC Encore-14" bll 375GNR with no leading.
Handgun 50/50 BBT Billy Mar/Ballisti cast lube.
