Sorry I did not say 30/30 since the bullet is made for them I thought you would figure that is what I was using it for. I was not thinking that you can use it in other 30 cal loads

Jim I shooten a good deal of PB in 30 cal with a Lee 180 made to PB. Mine are 06 loads--you didn't say what caliber your shooten.
Take the Lyman data and extropolate the loads in the 1350- 1400 fps area for a start. Unique and Blue Dot shooten very good for me-- I think 2400 would too.

Those powders are pretty hot burning and tend to lead a lot at other than mild loads in my experience. I've had better luck with ball and stick powders, but have no .30-30 loading experience.

Mid Kansas 30/30 165 GR RNFP non gas checked I bought 250 of the these bullets and they are not gas checked. Any one have any good load info and expiriences using such a bullet with powders like 2400 or Unique? Or what other powders have you used with good success with non gas checked loads? I guess they are out of business so I will have to find a other source or get a mould and start casting but at 12 bucks for 250 already lubed and ready to go it hardly seemed worth casting for them though I might have to now unless I can find a other cheap source. If I'm reading you correctly, you have 250 165 gr RN PB boolits that you figure to use in a 30-30!
Well H#((, there are a TON of potential loads for them, and you may as well try all of them, 'cause at the end you still get to start all over with a NEW, repeatable boolit! What do you have to lose (or gain)?
Just to relieve frustration, though, I would stay away from the Full Bore (hot) loads. No sense spending more time scrubbing Pb from the bore than you have to spend.
Or you could save a lot of money and effort and just melt them down and cast them into 311041, or another useful cast boolit, for the 30-30.
