Couple of trips after work. Went out the other night and it was all on fire so didn't expect to see much. Spotted a feral cat which didn't hang around for a shot. So a long walk fort a few pics. Tonight was different. Pulled up and hadn't gone far and spotted a couple of pigs out in the swamp about 200m away. Off with the new boots and used the mangroves to get to 30m. Then into them with the 325WSM. Got two boars which turned out to be reasonable sizes. Pics then dressed the smaller one and dragged it out for dog food. Like the easy ones! cheers Mick young boar 2nd green black Did a late run this arvo. Hadn't travelled very far when I spotted a set of ears at about 40m. Took a look thru the scope and it was a good boar wallowing . Straight on shot so slipped the safety off, he raised his head. Hit him just under the eye with a 160 TTSx from the 325 WSM. Stoked heres a couple of pics. Cheers Mick 160 TTSX 325WSM | ||

They sure don't go far when head shot. Notice the ears, proof of being a fighter. Wonder what the dogs thinking about all the burned off stuff. Some years ago we watched a doe and fawn walking thru a fresh burned forest. Looked like she didn't know what to do or where to go. Kinda messy there Mick.
