Checked trail cams 2 days ago, have plenty coming in, mainly at night.

White bass are up in the creeks right now and crappie should be moving shallow soon. Trying to get in some boat use before getting back at the hogs. Weekends are never long enough

I have plenty coming again, returning to my local spot. Just need the right winds. Should get out for a sit with the bow this week, and maybe with the thermal as well.

The place farther out---checked the cams and it has been a week since I trapped the last bunch and all I've had in the trap are skunks, rabbits, a 'coon, a possum, and two dogs that the landowner says shoot on sight. My "shoot" feeder has pretty regular traffic, though 11 PM and later. I'll be filling those feeders Monday and re-checking the cameras to see if a sit is indicated out there.

And, on that 11 PM and later time---I must be getting old/lazy. In situations like this I used to just wait until 10 and drive out and walk to my stand "just in time" but don't have the urge to do that any more.

Been fighting health issues and haven't been out and about much at all -- even though two feeders are visible from the front yard. Did see some gobblers strutting this afternoon. They really put on a show for a while.

I like to eat turkey but just to watch them is fascinating. Still wish I could just fly down to Texas and shoot some pigs for a week of nights. I don't fly nor do I have a close friend that does. I might share the costs and get some. Ham. Be Well, Packy.
