| Wonderful pictures. I love to see and listen to good dogs work. Can you be more specific about the area you hunted? County or such? Not the exact location. Thanks Packrattusnongratus |

| We generally hunt in Frio County but will also hunt in McMullen, Atascosa and Lasalle counties to a lesser degree. Just wherever we can find the hogs. |

| They are mainly blackmouth cur / walker hound mix. As you can probably tell, they have more blackmouth cur than hound in them. My experience with dogs that have too much hound in them is that they tend to bark way too much on trail.
We are kind of in a transitional period on our dogs. Our best dogs are 10+ years old and they won't be hunting much longer. We don't have a good group of 4-5 year old dogs that can take their place but we have some younger ones that have promise and just need time in the brush. |

| By the way, our philosophy on dogs is a little different than some other guys. We don't have any pure catch dogs. All of our dogs are bred to find, bay, and catch (when possible) hogs. Some naturally perform each of these functions better than others. A good aggressive bulldog of some type is an extremely good catch dog and I can definitely understand why others use them but we haven't had good experiences with them so we don't use them. We've killed thousands of hogs over the years without them. |

| I'll give you one thing; your dogs are well cared for. Judging by the pictures, they're round as an apple!
If you can't have fun when you go out, STAY HOME !
