Went to the ranch tonight intending to sit, shoot a pig, then fill the feeder and put out two new lights. Got there and there was about 35 lbs of corn on the ground under the feeder and nary a pig track. Don't think they've been there in a week possibly. So, rather than sit and fight 'skeeters, I just did my chores, put up the new lights, and came on home.

Looks like my hunting neighbors' feeders are maybe up and going now, and I'm no longer the only grocery store in town. I'll keep an eye on it about once a week to see if they start showing again, but I sure do miss 'em.

Maybe it is a holiday for hogs today or something. This morning I took a buddy around a ranch of ours to show him the roads etc. as he is going to hunt it with his son this weekend and I will be out of town. Anyhow, gathering cattle Monday, 2 cowboys saw 14 on the same ranch, same field, 3 hours this morning.....0. Granted we weren't hunting so maybe they will be more willing targets for his son Saturday.
