Want to do some hog hunting in NWGA. Any suggestions or tips?

I know some folks in Columbus and it is my impression that the NW part of the state is NOT a hog hunters haven. They occasionally make an appearance there but the locals absolutely hate them and do a fine job of population control. When they see it, they whack it. Maybe someone else has a line on a better area but I am just telling you what I heard from locals. Best, JohnTheGreek

I used to hunt the SE part of the state particularly between hazelhurst and brunswick. Lots of good pigs on the paper mills land.

There are some WMA's like cohutta that offer land also lot of hogs near campgrounds on some nw Ga lakes.I must say the southwest Flint river area, the private farms, are the best by far. There's always Bama, and Fla Happy Huntin Ben(rug)
