Has anyone tried the Lightforce shooting light mounted on a hunting rifle. I plan to harvest some wild hogs that are destroying my friends corn fields and I am concerned that the recoil from a 30-06 size rifle will destroy the light. I am also taking up varmit hunting as coyotes are overrunning central MS. Is there a better product in the weapon mounted light arena? If this don't work I'll have to go to the night vision stuff and by the time it takes me to save up enough pennies to buy one, I'll be too old to enjoy it.

I have a red light that I bought from Cabela's that clips on the 1" scope tube. It is powered by a 12v gel-cell battery. I have shot it off my 7mm Rem Mag and my .25-06 and no problems. I sometimes put it on my M70 FW in .22-250 and walk the ranch roads at night hunting hogs. I carry the battery in an Army 2-qt canteen cover.
