Pigs in the San Angelo TX area

I've booked a turkey hunt for the spring of 2009 in the area of San Angelo. The ranch I'm hunting doesn't have pigs and I'd like to work out a hunt for pigs either preceding or following my turkey hunt.

Anyone have a suggestion on a ranch in the San Agelo area that allows pig hunting for a fee?

Welcome to the forums, check and see if the ranch your hunting on has javelina and or would they let you bag one. I hunt just a little south of San Angelo near a small town called Mertzon. We have great deer and turkey hunting but I've never seen a hog or any evidense of their activity in about 7 years of hunting. I think the ranchers out there don't or wouldn't tolerate feral hog existance as they are considered a pest. Although there are opportunities not far, I'm just unable to help you directly as I live over 400 miles from the ranch. Good luck and good hunting. Rodney out.

Didn't intend to stop this thread in it's tracks as there are alot of hunting opportunities within an hour or so ride of San Angelo. I haven't done a search but I believe there are maney game ranches in and around Kerrville such as the YO ranch. Maybe you can do a search around the area and find something accomidating. If not for feral pigs/hogs possibly exotic game- check it out. Rodney out.

Rodney, thanks for the responses.

I'll continue to look. Perhaps I can find something on the way there.

I guide for hogs about 90 miles from San Angelo.
Give me a call if you'd like to discuss it.

The Hunt goes on forever, the season never ends.

I didn't learn this by reading about it or seeing it on TV. I learned it by doing it.
