Came across this photo from two years ago which I don't believe I ever posted. There was a game cam pointed at the feeder where these hogs were gathered. I shot the larger gray one with a .30 Blackout I had built on an L46 Sako action (130 grain Hornady @ 2200 fps). The camera just happened to snap as the shot pig was fleeing to the right and the other smaller pigs were exiting stage left. You can see the dust kicked up in the air from the rapid exit of the larger gray pig. He went about 75 yards before piling up in a heap. I thought it was a great stroke of luck that the camera decided to fire at almost the same time I did.

Very cool shot. Nice colors on that hog too. Got a pic of the Sako? Life itself is a gift. Live it up if you can.

No pic, but it is made on an L46 which was originally a Marlin 422 that I picked up from some guy in Pennsylvania .

Ah. yes. Must have been a really nice one to merit the re-barrel. Wow. That deal goes back a ways. That rare action shot deserves to be cropped and framed under glass. A fine addition to any trophy room.
