Took the 9.3x74 out for a hunt today. Found a small mob on a billabong after the wind pushed them out of there beds. Followed thier muddie trail up the bank and caught them mooching along the bank. Closed the gap to around 40m. They spotted me and started to take off. Picked out the leader and led thru her, the shot was good and she burst away, on a death run. The mob reacted the same and i swung onto them and let a shot go at around 90m. Too far back but dropped the one I was aiming at and another behind her. Closed the gap and finished the bystander off.
I was stoked .
The others caught up and took a few Pics.
We continued on to another spot, and we all went into the billabong for a look. I was behind the others when a boar broke from some paper barks and headed out to our right. I cut out for a shot and placed a 286 woodie into him with a raking shot at around 60m. He stopped faultered and went down.
Lewis fired a shot out of sight then another with his 300 short mag, taking his firts boar with his new win 70 . All in all a good days hunting.
Heres some pics cheers Mick

Mick,

You gotta love that 9.3x74R, those stem to stern shots tell it all.

Nice rifle and some good shooting too.

OMG, what is that creature in the tree? Looks pre-historic. Probably deadly poison too.

Nice shooting with a beautiful double! Do you in fact eat the big lizards?
