Anybody know where the closest non-fenced, free-range, fair-chase hog outfit is to Michigan? I'd really like to do a hog hunt but I just cant quite fathom paying hundreds of dollars to shoot something behind a fence. I'm not judging those who do, though. I would just rather hunt free-range.

Any ideas?

Check with Michigan DNR.

If there are any free ranging hogs, they should know.

There is a small, scattered population in Michigan. Nothing large enough to be reliably huntable, though. I'm looking for an outfitters out-of-state.

for a non-preserve hunt you will probably have to go to SC or GA

Black River Plantation is SC is pretty good, I have been there 4-5 times. Mostly stand hunting, they will do a spot and stalk for extra $$
