I live just west of St. Louis and hunt mostly in Osage County. Not only have I never seen one, I've never heard of anyone seeing one. Trust me, some of the guys I hunt with spend so much time in the woods on their farms, and with the "please shoot on site" rules, if they were there, someone would have made some bacon by now. I have always been under the impression that they are further south but I can't confirm it. Cheers, Jason But what do I know?

Ft Leonard Wood used to let military and DOD civilians hunt feral hogs on the base, but as of early last year they had mostly eradicated them and stopped hunting. Soli Deo Gloria

About 4 years ago the population of hogs was at it's upermost numbers around Lake Wappapello in South East Missouri. The Conservation Dept. declared WAR on the hogs and used every means $$$$$$$$ and lots of it to get rid of them. They are not common by any means. Fort Wood did the same thing and each year the fort has a special deer hunt that puts 500+ people on the land and no hogs are killed year after year. ________________________________________________ Maker of The Frankenstud Sling Keeper Proudly made in the USA Acepting all forms of payment
