Went out this morning at 3 am (80 degrees) to a couple of peanut fields and found pigs in one. I drove around the field and found fresh tracks leading into a corner that has bloodweeds 12 feet tall and thick as hair on a dogs back with wild morning glory tieing everything together. Put the curs on the track and it wassn't long until we had a bay. Dropped the stags and Mason and caught a nice sow. Leading the catch dogs out the curs bayed another small sow and Mason and Heyena pulled loose from my buddy and caught her. I told my buddy that I was leading the other stag out to watch and see if anything was leaving the weeds and were out in the open. When I got out of the weeds I could see 2 pigs slipping away out in the open about 600 yds out headed for another weed patch.(daylight now) I quickly loaded Lucy and headed toward them. I headed them off and Lucy could see them so I let her out and the race was on. She passed up the small pig and caught the larger sow right at the edge of the weeds. Stuck her and headed back to my buddy across the field still in the other weed patch. When I got there two curs were bayed but brohe before the catch dog could get there and my buddy came out of the weeds leading Mason. In a few minutes all the dogs but two came out and I loaded them then got out the tracking box. Located them and they were about 3/4 of a mile away in another corner. We headed to them and when I got there they were bayed in a brush pile. Dropped the catch dogs and caught a small boar. Loaded everything up and headed out. It took us from just before daylight to ( am to to catch four pigs. I was hoping to catch the pig that has been leaving a track the size of a yearling but he outsmarted me again. His days are numbered though! If he keeps on eating in tht peanut field!! The place where I caught them is called Black Gold. Looks like I got into someones feeding floor.

Good story, good job. xxxxxxxxxx When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere. NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR. I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.
