About 100 years ago a relative of mine shot a warthog somewhere i South Africa. Nowdays I keep the trophy. While I have no knowledge regarding warthog trophys I wonder if there is someone who can tell me if it is of considerable size or not. The outer length is 53cm and the circumference is 18cm, so they are big enough to be converted to coat hangers. Anyone? Martin

Are you saying that each of the tusks are almost 20" around the curve?

Well any tusk over 13" is in the Rowland Ward record book, so there is a point of reference. I am no expert but it sounds like you have a hippo tusk there. Could you post a picture maybe?

Too bad it wasn't a warthog, would have been a real beast!
