I would think you would have to go to the mainland.

Polk county is in the middle of the state...... That far south, I just don't know......

Here is a place I found on the net, but I know absolutely nothing about them. It's in SW Florida, near Punta Gorda, I believe.

Im from that area originally. Punta Gorda is just a little ways form Ft Myers. About six hours from the Keys by car. Ill vouch for Green Swamp, but its a couple more hours from Ft Myers. Not sure how much your able to travel. Look for some places around Davie, Ft Lauderdale, etc. That about half the distance. PM me if you want, Ill try to help you if I can.

PS If your mobile, and do decide to come to Punta Gorda, you might mention the Key West Express. Its a boat that makes the trip fom Ft Myers Beach to the Keys, I doubt you could carry a gun on the boat, but if the outfitter was willing to pick you up and loan you a rifle, you might get to go hunting. Just another idea. Hope you enjoy your trip.

Hogs are darn near everywhere on the mainland.

I would find an outfitter. It isn't hard. There are plenty of them.

The Green Swamp is supposedly good hunting. I think (but am not certain) that it is a management area. Unlike private land, those usually have a specific season. It may prove difficult.

In Polk and Sumpter there are private areas that were abandon strip mines.
There should be guides for these areas.

I'm sure you will find your hunt. Hogs all over the mainland.
You ever consider Python hunting????
Your closer to that in the Clades.

Cheers, John
