hog taken while deer hunting

My son-in-law took this hog which looks smaller than it was, while deer hunting on his property in SW Arkansas. He said that about fifteen or so came out on him. After the shot the hog only went about 20 yds before piling up. A larger hog then came up and started hiting the downed hog, unfortunately another shot did not present itself.

Stuart said that the sounds of cruching acorns was something to hear. Acorns that should have gone to feeding the deer in the area. Anyhow this boar has eaten it's last acorn.

Excellent! I hope y'all plan on barbequeing that hog! Teaches him to eat the deer's acorns! dancing

Have to leave that to the fella who killed it. I have to hope for an invite, my hunting efforts have been lest than success, despite a couple of good oppertunities.

It happens to all of us, Larry! Just don't give up! I would insist on an invite -- father-in-laws can make life difficult for son-in-laws! Big Grin

Bobby & Marko, hopefully I still have some pull with his wife who probably has some input on who is invited. Big Grin

Juan you're correct about bows and hogs, but I was just a bystander. My day will come though.

You're right Shanks, guess he could make a commerical for muzzy broadheads and Mathews Bows. The arrow took the boar a bit behind the shoulder but angling into the boiler room, perfect shot, perfect result.
