Can anybody reccommend a good hog hunt in Florida that ain't fifty acres with a high fence? I have a buddy who has never been hunting before, so I though I'd break him in on hogs. Plus, I have a new .458 Win I'd like to try out with some low velocity loads. PM me if you'd rather. Thanks

Florida Slam outfitters in the panhandle. They have more than 3,000 acres of free-ranging hogs. I have huntd there twice. Contact Pete Kemsies at (850) 584-2930. A second vote for Florida Slam. They have a combo hunt in the fall for deer, hogs and turkeys. Reasonable fees. Don't know if he has any opening for the combo or not, but it's worth making a call. Lots of hogs and you can hunt them just about any way you want: spot and stalk, bait, dogs, guns, bows, crossbows, knife etc... He'll accomadate you.

Osceola Outfitters. They are in Melborne and did a great job when I went there. Hoppy is a great guy and will make it fun for you. Osceola Outfitters Larry "Peace is that brief glorious moment in history, when everybody stands around reloading" -- Thomas Jefferson
