My wife was watching a movie and I did not want to get interested. I left the house about 10 minutes before normal. Got almost to my friend's place and realized I forgot my rifle! So instead of ten minutes early I was fifteen minutes late! Took my time, I would get there before the feeder went off. I looked at the feeder pen and nothing but as I was getting in the tower I saw a dark form to the right of the battery box. Before I could get my rifle up it faded more right behind some limbs. Man, I was hoping it was an early deer not my bob tailed boar I had been seeing on camera! I brought a hand full of individual wrapped LifeSaver candies figuring on staying till midnight. Feeder slung corn and I was about to open the first one. The dark form was back, this time I could clearly see pig! He was silhouetted against lights and I fixing to shoot him outside the pen when he turned and went under the wire. Inside he turned broad side and 375 Ruger did its thing! 135.9 pounds and stinky. When the wind turned the wrong way it would take your breath away! And bobbed tailed!

Nice one! tu2 tu2

The past 2 nights have had bright moonlight here, and I really wanted to at least get to take a look or two to check for hogs, but my decrepit body has not been cooperating. My Contender rifles are feeling neglected ha ha! Smiler

Bobby--I understand about rifles feeling neglected. Since I got the thermal-equipped AR I continually hear a whiney sound from my .22-250 and .25-06, even thought they are locked away. By bow is beginning to exhibit the same symptoms.

One of those .375 Rugers Live Oak uses sounds fun too

Hell of a deal, Live Oak got him a NEW Can!
What the hell is this world coming to?

Glad you got that stinking thing out of
commission.

Maybe that's what all the racket is from
the gun/loading room. At least ten new
guns never fired yet. Looking for one more
yet. Then maybe my itch will be satisfied.
Hope this is the year again.

Stay well guys,

George
