Somebody posted a report of splitting tusks on one of the forums here a while ago and I cant find it again...but I have been given a long and pretty time consuming "recipe" for dipping and cleaning and eventually mounting the tusks. After I posted the idea a few guys posted after me and said that all you really need to do is fill the tusks with epoxy...does it really work? And is that all you need to do? i.e. clean the tusks...fill with epoxy...allow to harden & mount them? I would really appreciate some good advice here. I shot a great pic the other day and would like to take care of the tusks.

Thanks,
Andy

Epoxy works well. I clean the teeth and stuff cotton wool down there, pack it in with a satay stick. Then add olive oil or similar, keep stuffing till about 1/4 inch from the top then fill the rest up with melted wax. Cheap easy and lasts awhile.
