Last couple times I've gone to my lease (AKA "the petting zoo") I've got skunked. In fact two weeks ago I hunted for five days and did not see a critter.

Made an impromptu trip this weekend............

ya'

What's the ol' bromide about wrestling with a pig.....

the pig loves it, but you just get muddy...........

so with that in mind.........

Thumped this one yesterday eve, just before dark-thirty
@ 125 yds. give or take........

Waited till he got on this side of the mud, but it was a bang/flop. The bang of the 140 gr. Sierra Spitzer flopped him into the mud. LOL

But what the hey.......

a few pails of water and he was ready to skin!

caught him right behind the ear on the right side.

entrance

I was shooting down hill at about a 15 degree angle, the 140 gr. Sierra Spitzer exited just under and behind his left front leg.

Got this one Saturday morning, just as it was getting light enough to see the crosshairs. He and his pard came out of the brush.
I’d not had the chance to yet blood my latest Merkel.

It’s a K3 in 308 Win. The 150 grain Nosler Accubond pretty much knocked his dick in the dirt at +/- 90 yds.

Entry

Exit.

Those Accubonds are the Schizz
Bang
Flop
And next thing ya’ know

A pig mobil.

We been getting quite a few piggies as well......the deer sure aren't showing up though. I think to many acorns and too green.

Good job my friend!

In my six+ decades upon this earth, I've never even seen a pig! It's a bucket-lister for sure.

That was a great pictorial! Thanks for sharing.

Zeke

PS: I'm trying to feel bad for you that you hunted 5 days and didn't see one. haha

Some places have lots of acorns and with everybody and his brother slinging corn for deer the pigs can get picky! When the feeders run out after the first of the year business will pick back up! I am waiting also!

Looks like I'm not the only one that likes a little Fireball whiskey in the cool weather.

Nice pigs.
