Same old situation, opening day and no deer except for a few yearling does too small to fool with. About 12:30 I was about to call it a day because I had a bunch of dead trees down that I had to chainsaw to unblock roads. A small sounder showed up right as I was packing it up so I dropped a young sow. One shot downed her about 90 or so yards. Rifle particulars: Stiller predator action, Shilen barrel & trigger, McMillen stock, Sunny Hill bottom metal, LaRue QD rings on one of Cameron Murphy's bases, Trijicon 2.5-10X56. Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, 129 grain Hornady SST. "For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind..." Hosea 8:7

Glad to see the gun pleased you. I have tp get rid of the wart (jlok) on the firing pin before I take the 700 out in public again. JDQ

With a heavy enough gun the creedmore should have little recoil. Should be great for repeat shots on ferals an etc. I haven't seen encore barrels yet but they should be coming. A great idea for ferals. A correction here. Cheaper than Dirt. $329.00. 28" barrel D&T no open sights. Overall length of the rifle is going to be similar to a 24" barreled bolt trash gun. I will watch out for one on sale. Ferals look out. Packy
