Juan Carlos JobetQuestion on size
I would appreciate if all you experienced wild boar hunters can estimate the weight of this specimen.
As a reference, I am 6'2" and weigh 80kg.
I did not have the chance to weigh the beast.

JJHACKThis one was actually weighed and pegged the scale that went to 300 pounds. It was a Cabelas hanging deer scale we lifted the hog up with the hook of the scale using a chain hoist.
It's certainly well over 300 pounds and looks about the size of yours.
This boar was weighed on a livestock scale and went just under 350 pounds. I'm not convinced this was the most accurate scale but I do beleive this was bigger then the first one and may have been in the 350 area( maybe more?)
I think it's preety clear that your wild boar was at or very near the 300 pound mark. At least judging it by these with a known weight.
Here is a Boar that was 175 pounds for comparison.
and another that was just a hair over 200lbs.
Hope this helps, I get to weigh a lot of the hogs as the rancher has a barn with the livestock scale in it.

Juan Carlos JobetNainital, gracias. I don't know the tusk length because they are still in the head and from what I gather, to properly measure them (as in Europe) they should be extracted. Thed part that shows is 3 1/4".
Jjhack, thanks for all the reference photos. I'll stick with your estimate and Naintal's estimate (app. 140kg), :-)
Regards,
JC
