I donated a father/son hog hunt to the GA SCI chapter . I took the kid out. He shot a big sow and it ran off. After 45 minutes, I got down to follow . It was in some BAD stuff.

I found it but it appears something beat us to it. Has to be a cat.

That is something---here in Tx more likely to have been coyotes.

I think the cut is way too clean to be a coyote. Who knows? Wish there was more sign to read.

Gentlemen:

Debris was all over the ground. It was impossible to read any other sign. There were some scratches that I believe were from a cat.

I sent this picture to several PHs in Africa. They all said it came from a cat as did a biologist with a PHD doing research in Botswana.

The panthers have been seen in the general area in the past. That is what I believe did this.
