We had a great hunt on sunday morning. Hogs had been hitting a milo field and we caught them in there at just the right time...after a 1.5" rain. Killed 14 hogs. 5 with dogs and 9 with a shotgun as they tried to escape from the field. Unfortunately, don't have a picture with them all together as they were scattered all over the place. Here's a picture of 4 of them.

Saturday morning we killed two hogs with dogs. Here's a pic of one.

If I run down to South Texas for the weekend I am worn out by Monday. It's hell getting old.

Thanks for posting -- it looks like a great hunt.

I've been leaving all of my hunting gear down there and flying into San Antonio. Then it's just a 1 hour drive from there. That full drive is a bitch, though.

That would make it easier to get down there more often, assuming good fares from Southwest or someone else.

I'm lucky that I'm working on a couple of projects in San Antonio that often need my attention on Fridays and Mondays. So I fly down there on a Thursday evengin or Friday morning, work all day Friday, then have a weekend to hunt. The only fly in the ointment is this 4 month old daughter that I have. I didn't realize she'd be so much fun and so tough to stay away from. To solve that problem, she's already taken 5 round trip flights before her 4th month birthday.

Very nice! You are the lucky one.

Edited to add: Could this be in your future?
