I am a little bit! Received a new fixed blade knife for Christmas. When I take it with me I have been seeing nothing! Finally broke the ice on a squirrel! Then a coon bit the 416 Ruger and I though it was good to go! Not, first pig I have seen at my place in a while and I botch the shot and wound it. 5 to 6 small drops of blood and two small pieces of bone.
Wife was feeling cooped up so we went to her place to burn some old brush piles. She likes to burn brush! My normal "chin can" became a diesel can. That's why I have a different can. I did not realize how much an old Folger's can would stick out!!
Went to friend's place last night with the new knife! A little before ten a pig walked in front of the lights! It stood on the left side of the pen then jumped back. It did that twice before sliding under the fence. They almost always enter on the back right side here! Before I could get my 375 up it bolted out of the pen and out of sight. I am thinking "knife jinx". Looked at my phone 9:48, I will give him to 10:30. Before I could clear that thought he walked in the right side and started eating! I had planned on either a pig or a coon which came first. Well the coon was in there also out of nowhere! Rugered the pig! 107.5 pound boar. I did something different. I cut the back straps out of him. Pandemic or something, we will see how they eat!
It has been really slow at all my feeders. I have been seeing rooting, so they are after something else. I am not seeing any thing big this time of year either.

Live Oak---same at my 3 spots. 2 local spots have had one pig one night in past 7 days. The other spot was a dry hole my last sit but I'm headed there tonight anyway as the winds are right.

Nice piggie! I am guessing dewberries have them on the move right now, which means minimal interest in corn.

I'm not, but, you're sure jinxed!

New can, and a new knife.

What in the world would you expect
otherwise?

Ha!
Good looking pig on that nice new can too.

Better luck is coming now that you've broken
the spell.

I think the residual smell of Folgers coffee (even masked by diesel) is sure to break the curse and bring in anything in the area.

If you see me, though, please don't shoot!
