jeffeossopics of "DECENT" hogs
Well, let's see what ya'll consider to be "nice pigs".. of course, any that can be eaten are nice to me!
this one is from 2 years ago, way down in south texas.. great buddies on a good hunt.. he was shot facing me, 416AR, and i had watched him come form 200 yards till about 30 yard... the blood spots are the several exits from the speer 350gr magtip

WhitworthHere's one I shot last summer in Florida. He looks small in the first photo, but you can see he's chunky in the second. He ate well!
I took him with my .475 Linebaugh and a 420 grain WFN at 1,350 fps. The shot was 80 yards.

This little piggy was killed back in Sept. with my Freedom Arms 500WE. One shot, it weighed just over 750 lbs. Made some of the best sausage I've ever had.

Bobby TomekI forgot to add: most of the hogs around here have strong Euro/Russian lineage. I've killed only a few that didn't look to be too many generations from the pen.

GeedubyaJeffe,
Looks decent to me. Any time I can nail one or a dozen I'm jazzed. It don't even have to be a big 'un. I love shootin' pigs. I also love slow cooked pork ribs and marinated pork loin.

WhitworthHere's another Florida hog I took in '07. He was a 170-lb barr. It was about a 40-yard shot out of a stand with my squirrel rifle (M77 in .338 win mag shooting 250 grain Partition Golds)........

Bobby TomekHere are a couple more mid-sized piggies from a few years back. These were scanned from plain-paper prints, so pardon the low image quality.

no i didn't have the head mounted because both bottom tusks were broken at the gumline. i know they don't use the real teeth anyway but since he didn't have them, i didn't want to "fake" it. i cleaned the skull and called it good.

Troy HibbittsFor eating, this is the size I like best (9,3x62)
Some off the front porch, first one's a boar that went around 250 pounds (260 Rem)
358 Win and 9,3x62
358 Win and 375 Ruger
375 Ruger and finished off with 7-30 Waters (my contender pistol had the 17 HMR barrel on it, and I can shoot my daughter's 7-30 with one hand while holding the light)
Day my wife shot this one, I jumped a monster but was unable to get a shot (260 Rem)
Shot with .44 Magnum encore at about 50 yards

ted thornGreat work you two. I love to see a couple that hunts together.
