Herb -- the lease that I hunt doesn't have the pressure problem because it's held by so few people. But you are correct about the acorns -- they're still littering the ground with all of the oaks on the property. But I found that they're still hitting a lot of the feeders. Afterall, they are creatures of habit. I haven't found that they're going nocturnal. Because it has cooled off they're moving a lot during the day now. I shot two hogs, three weeks ago at about 10:30 in the morning and saw a bunch more moving around on the property around noon.
