Bobby TomekThanks, Jeffe! And a note to Bob, Geedubya and Gatogordo
OK...I FINALLY got to try Jeffe's wonderful recipe, and it is just that: wonderful! So I just wanted to say thanks for sharing it with all of us.
I used sow backstraps and a little shoulder meat.
I did noticed one problem: it must have some Houdini-type disappearing qualities because after it was put on the table, it was reduced to little more than aroma in no time.
Bob, GWB and Gato: Did you guys have the same "problem" with the recipe?

Bobby

GeedubyaBobby,
This is Jeffe's recipe. The only credit I can claim is that I am one of the culprits when it comes to the "houdini" effect of making it dissapear.

Bob in TXYep, don't get between the pot and GWB or Gatordo. You are taking your life in your hands!
GWB donated the hog shoulder for the last batch Jeffe whipped up. As I recall, the pot did not need much washing afterwards. I have to admit that I did my best to be polite and not hurt Jeffe's (very sensitive) feelings by leaving any leftovers.

jeffeossoYa'll are more than welcome. its a camp fav.!
Amigo donated the shoulder -
I did this with an eland "tenderloin" .. as big as a rugby ball ... and feed 11 guys.. then scrubbed my hands with gas to get the smell off, as they were stuffed but looking for more!
Glad you like it!

WHAT!! I am highly insulted. I forced myself to eat those 6 or so tacos made out of that pork, purely in consideration of Jeff's sensitive nature. Besides, I didn't want to get in the way of the flashing knives displayed by Jay AND OTHERS who have all their couth in their shoes........Hummmmmph!
