Jeff,
the big boar we took on our little STc Hunting trip took an about 80degree 405 just behind the lungs, and didn't even grunt... he missed about .25 of a step

when the 458 watts hit him (about directly facing away, spine DOWN shot) with a 500gr 458, he dropped to the shot...

and, of course, that Bastard wasn't even leaking good from the 405

Jeff, I live in Tampa, so I'm not very far from you. A friend has a hunting lease near Okeechobee where I do most of my hunting. I assume you hunt a lot being where you are.

Whit,
I wish I could hunt more. Instead I spend almost every day guiding quail hunters this time of year. Also chase hogs. We have leases by Okeechobee for pigs and turkey. I run a shooting preserve outside of Arcadia. Most of the hogs I kill are on the shooting preserve. I'm told to kill every hog I see. They really play hell in the groves and pastures. That's the reason I've shot so many. Can't guide hunters for hogs on the property.
Best,
Jeff
