Our farmer just baled about 80 acres of hay, and about half of the bales out there have torn up by feral hogs. We decided to help the guy out, and try to get rid of the hay bale destroyers. my hog....shot him with .270 at night out in a wheat field [image] [/image] [image][/image] [image][/image] my buddies hog.....he shot him with a .243 in a creek bottom right next to the hay field [image][/image] [image][/image]

Congrats on the Hog. How much do you think he weighed and have you ate any of it yet? How did it taste? I process all of my own deer. Did you take it to a locker or process it your self? One of my friends is going to Georgia to hunt hogs and deer if he is lucky he is going to bring home a couple.

These two boars weighed about 150-200 lbs maybe less (just a guess).......we usually dont eat the boars, but the sals under 80 lbs are really good eating. I know it sounds bad to take a hog and not eat it, but on our ranch you have to take quite a few hogs a year to keep their numbers in check. For instance, Ive seen about 30 hogs in the last two months, and thats just on one section. 30 hogs in one square mile can do alot of damage to crops and fences.

Red four wheelers makes hogs go crazy...then if you wear a sheepskin jacket you are really asking for trouble. Nice pigs...good job! URDUBOB
