Two times I have shot 6 at one setting with a rifle. The trick is to drop the sow with the first shot. I have been lucky at getting a bullet over the sholder and into the spine. If you go for the heart and lung they can still run. Head, Neck or spine shots will anchor the sow. Offspring will not run very far. They usually split up, run then stop at about 10 to 20 yards . They try to hide in any cover they can find. Each time I shot they all ran but really did not go anywhere. Last spring I used a 30-30 win 94 and missed several shots. Last weekend I used a scoped Rem woodmaster 30-06 autoloader carbine. I was in full camo and was standing between two trees that masked my outline. My spare clip came in handy. 6 shots, one sow and 5 piglets. | ||
