Sorry about pic quality, batteries were low before pigs showed. 6" of rain since my last post about the fire. Pigs look healthy and knocked over my feeder. First time my straight shooter has been down.















Lots of deer back as well.

Once you get pass the eye sore and damage a fire can do. It can really help a hunting area by bringing in new growth.

It'll be interesting to see what that buck fawn carries this fall... are you feeding protein or corn? Corn will obviously draw both deer and pigs, but so will protein. Protein is better for the deer, but a bit more pricey, and some feeders don't keep it dry enough to broadcast.

Just a thought...

I am using corn, I have tried protien twice and it clogged up both times. Never again.

This was one of the few pockets of brush left, fire got within 50 yards of here.

This is the burnt area.
