We had three guys come to town for some hog wackin on Friday night, and with the recent rains earlier in the week, we had some serious run-off that caused the rivers and creeks to rise. This one particular creek, got out of it banks, which pushed all wildlife to higher ground. One of the ranches that we manage the hog/varmint population on, has this creek as it southern boundry. This over-flow water, took a 7,000 acre ranch and made it a 4,000 acres.
So we made it to the ranch and got the guys comfortable with the gear, and a huntin we went. We focused on the country next to the water line, and basicly scratched a zero. So we climbed back to the high ground and just as we hit the hill side, Clark said "contact" he had found them with the thermal. We parked the Ranger Crew, and the hunters picked their weapon of choice. We then stalked up within 50 yards of the sounder group, set the guys up on the Primos trigger sticks and counted them down. When it was all said and done, they has turfed 4. We took some pics and called the cleaning crew to come fetch the hogs, then we loaded up and headed out to find more porkers.
We forged through some slackwater and headed to another big sand hill. While in transit, the ground fog started to form as the nights winds layed, so the thermal was a life saver for the rest of the hunt. The guys ended up killing 3 more despite the harsh conditions. Final talley 7 hogs, 3 happy hunters and 3 big coolers of pork.

Charles, the Trigger Sticks work well for us, they adjust for a shot from the knee or high enough for a 6'6" tall man to shoot from a standing position. They have been a great investment for our operation.
