I was pondering this thought while sitting on my ass at work. How many of you have full size paper targets or steel silhouettes that you shoot up @ the range? Was thinking a steel target might be fun, especially one shaped like an animal. Full size that is...

I haven't been able to find any locally, and am no where near motivated enough to create my own. That being said, I like the idea of it, it definately adds a touch of realism to your practice.

Realisim is what I was looking for too. I mean, birchwood casey has 1/5 size targets, but thats still shooting smaller targets @ a close range. Even if you did shoot em @ more than 100, the sight picture in the scope is not true

I would be interested in such targets as well. It can only help in the harvest of hogs!

Hey invader, unless that was a lifesize paper target, I doubt an archery target would hold up for too long after being shot a few times with a 375! BTW the link worked, but the info @ the site could not be found. I said archery cause in the link code "archery" was in it. Well, I guess if you really wanted, you could buy one of em, remove the guts, and put a piece of cardboard over the hole painted black. only thing that sucks, is if you miss you could shoot off legs or some shit. I had found a sheet metal website that does make full size steel javalinas, but theyre 60lb. the price was a hair over $200...

Try this one:
Animal Targets
Click on "Archery" tab and then go to lifesize animal targets...

Maybe it will work.

Here is another place:
MetalTargets.com

Or you could have one made locally.
Shipping on these is probably spendy.

I've shot steel sidhouettes of hogs, pronghorns also ground hogs and a hippo silhouette of the head in water.

A friend of mine works at a steel mill, I give him a cardboard cutout and he cuts me my target.

they are great to shoot at!
