Went to my friend's place and had to sweat till 11:00! He was real jumpy but finally gave me a facing shot. I was aiming for the top of his head but the bullet went a little higher. Bullet entered just in front of his shoulder blades. I saw no exit until I opened him up for the vultures. Found a thumb size hole just below his left hip. 250 grain Game King went pretty much all the way through him. 375 Ruger, 158.9 pounds.

That's a good shot.

Need to allow enough for scope height.
I tried such a shot at an antelope once.
Didn't allow quite enough. Cut a groove in the
hair center between his horns/ears that was barely 1/8" long.
Gave me another shot at his ribs that worked. Just a 1/4" lower and he'd lost his head.

Love the can! beer
Live Oak, the vultures in your neck of the woods are likely at risk of heart disease with all the pork they're getting from you!
