EDIT-to fix pics. Sorry 'bout that!

Hey all,
Thought I'd post a couple pics of this years hunt. It was this past January and got to take my stepson with me for the first time. I've been hunting Texas for the last 12 or so years and every hunt has been an adventure. We call it our "poor man's safari" as my hunting buddy's mother lives there and we hunt around her place. Mostly we hunt hogs, javelina, varmints. We're looking for some places to hunt inexpensively(i.e.FREE)as in ranchers that would let us get rid of a hog or two,or varmints, from their ranch. We're both avid,safe,law-abiding,responsible,ethical hunters and gun enthusiasts and don't need any sort of accomodations-just a place to hunt because all the land/leases my hunting buddy's mother had has been sold. If anyone knows of something available around Carrizo Springs/Eagle Pass please let me know. Oh,and I ALWAYS stop in at the Circle V Ranch Center(home of the Los Cuernos de Tejas) in Carrizo and say Hi! to Miss Peggy and the gals! I know it's a long shot but it never hurts to ask! Please e-mail me if you're not comfortable posting that sort of info. Thanks for any help/advice and hope y'all enjoy the pics!

Circle V Ranch Center weigh-in. If you look very carefully you can see a hog somewhere in this pic. Wink

Don't give up my friend, there's some mighty GOOD people on this GREAT FORUM and that's why I'm still here.

Someone will come through for you and your step-son. I know what its like too, me & my step-son just took up hunting and we're looking for people & places.

One nice person contacted us and told us he'll take us out soon.

So from experience on this forum, I say DON"T give up no matter how hopeless it starts to feel, somebody here is gonna come through!!!

I wish you both the BEST!

Aloha

Aloha,my friend, and thank you. Don't worry,I'll never give up! I may be a po' boy but one thing I have is determination. And what you said is so true-there are some very fine people on these forums. I've been around for some time, just don't get time to post alot, even though I do check in and read every so often. I hope to change that very soon and become a more productive member of this, and other, forums. Thank you again and I will certainly keep everyone posted on our progress!

Thanks Pack,will do.

Anybody willing to help out some good, honest fellow hunters? Willing to return the favor,in kind,if at all possible.

Can do most things mechanical-welding,pipefitting,millwright,pumps,engines. Will work for hunts!

As I said,we don't need accomodations. Just a couple pigs/varmints to shoot, that you want to get rid of anyway. It's a win/win situation.

Thanks again,
Todd
