Got out about 4:30 PM at my south Texas lease and got set up.

A sounder came in about 30 minutes before dark

Ear-holed this boar at about 175 paces. He weighed in at 192 lbs.

Of course they scattered, but I've become accustomed to jacking in another round as quickly as possible and many times firing a second shot as an anchor.

Sure enough a shoat made a circle and stopped behind and to the right of the downed boar. I center-punched him at about 190 paces.

Sunday evening I got set up in the same stand. I had spread out a bunch of corn on Saturday and quite a bit was still there on Sunday. It had cooled down and we got a short lasting shower. This boar came in early (around 4:30).

I perforated him at +/- 100 yds.

Weighed him @ 150 lbs

Tres Mas to the count!

ya!

Some time a few daylight pigs would be nice. Around here they just run the deer off. During deer season I like watching deer! Good shooting.

Kinda looks like that might could have
been a triple head shot on the R.
IF they'd hold still long enough.

Thanks for posting this extra pix that
wasn't on last night.

12-ga and buckshot from 25-30 yds for a "skillet shot" but your rifles did very well.

The Blaser R93 Grand Luxe is a two barrel set.
30-06 and 9.3 x 62.
Used the 30-06 on the pig double.

The C-Grade Rem. 700 is chambered in 300 Win Mag.
