I stepped outside around 10 and checked the surroundings -- and this 3 year-old male coyote was working the hog boneyard. One shot from the .300 Savage, and the coyote became part of the boneyard.

The 125 grain Accubond, launched at 2740 fps by a book-minimum load of Varget, centered both shoulders, exited and killed the coyote instantly. The range was just under 170 yards.

This is the 27th coyote I have killed in the past 25 months -- all without ever leaving the front yard.

Good shooting Bobby.
Looks healthy, you must feed them well.
